This role is key to the establishment and development of a manufacturing site producing new technology, supporting a rapidly growing manufacturing environment as the Hydrogen Technologies business continues to evolve towards high volume manufacture and commercial success.
As Quality Manager you will manage and coordinate the efforts of the Quality Control and Quality Assurance groups in conjunction with the Quality sector team to ensure all released finished product conforms to internal requirements, Quality standards and customer specifications. You will also be responsible for ensuring plant compliance with HT QMS with special focus on key activities like business processes, root cause analyses, core tools and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities:
Manage Quality KPIs for the plant and actively deploy improvement activities, e.g. cost of quality, scrap, complaints, NCCs, NCRs, repeat NCRs etc. Contribute to Sector Quality objectives.
Act internally on site as the voice of the customer to ensure that customer quality requirements and specifications are being met.
Conduct quality assessment of change requests and implement risk reduction measures as appropriate.
Build problem solving capability across the plant organisation
Build, lead and develop a high performing and engaged team, ensuring resource allocation is deployed effectively to optimise delivery of result.
Coach, mentor, and develop the team including succession planning, the delivery of constructive performance feedback, and the timely completion of quarterly reviews.
Collaborate and work pro-actively within the internal quality network, sharing best practice and recommending improvements.
Requirements for the role:
Previous experience in Quality (experience in manufacturing would be advantageous) and understanding of ISO standards.
Proven experience of improving production efficiency and effectiveness through the use of LEAN Manufacturing technologies.
Demonstrated experience in effective leadership, with ability to coach, develop and engage individuals and teams.
Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and effectively manage workload and conflicting priorities whilst remaining resilient.
