Complex Needs Teaching Assistant Cardiff Hours: Monday to Friday 08:15am- 15:15pm Start: Monday 4 t h November 2024. Pay: £12.90-£13.20 per hour. About the Role: Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a valued and caring team, supporting students with diverse needs. This role involves providing hands-on support to pupils who require assistance with personal care, including toileting, tube feeding, and other daily activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being throughout the school day. You will work closely with the class teacher and other staff to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Support students with personal care, including toileting, feeding and other hygiene needs. Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and support learning activities in the classroom. Foster a safe, positive, and supportive environment that respects the dignity and needs of all pupils. Monitor and record the progress of pupils, providing feedback to teaching staff and parents where necessary. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with children or adults with complex needs or a willingness to learn. A compassionate and patient approach, with a strong commitment to supporting the needs of every child. The ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations. A willingness to undertake training for tube feeding and other specialist care needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting students/ vulnerable adults with additional needs (e.g., CACHE Level 3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
