Role Overview
Your Mission:
This position is ideal for engineers with experience in Electrical Design, though those with backgrounds in Electrical Installation or Maintenance are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
1. Technical Excellence: Specify, produce, and assess design packages.
2. Reliability & Operations: Define reliability and operational constraints.
3. Maintenance Procedures: Evaluate work control procedures for maintenance.
4. Design & Material State: Assess design, material state, and ageing mechanisms.
5. Safety & Security: Promote a culture of safety and security, ensuring contract outputs meet stringent safety requirements.
Key Requirements:
1. Technical Expertise: Proficient in infrastructure design and maintenance.
2. Safety Awareness: Comprehensive knowledge of safety and security protocols.
3. Analytical Skills: Ability to assess conditions and ageing mechanisms.
4. Communication: Effective communication with clients and teams.
5. Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects and deliver on time.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Essential: HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
2. Desirable: Incorporated Engineer status or equivalent experience, and a degree or equivalent qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline.
3. Experience: Broad experience in Electrical Engineering, ideally with HV/MV and LV distribution, protection systems, C&I systems, electrical machines, and a strong understanding of British and international design standards.
4. High Hazard Industries: Experience in the nuclear industry or other high hazard environments is preferred but not essential.
