We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join an International M&E Contractor, specialising in Infrastructure Projects in the Rail, Highways, Water & Energy sectors.
Initially the successful candidate will be working on HS2 at Birmingham New Street station.
A combination of office & site based, you will oversee the engineering process from design to installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring that all aspects meet HSE, quality, programme, and compliance standards.
The role will require you to undertake Mechanical design review in line with current standards to ensure buildability and constructability.
Where required you will also undertake Mechanical design changes (tunnel ventilation, HVAC, pumped systems etc) including design checks.
This role involves working closely with the construction team and liaising with key stakeholders, to ensure the successful delivery of either Mechanical or Public Health systems.
A varied role your duties will include :
* Undertake Mechanical design review in line with current standards and to ensure buildability and constructability.
* Ensure design risk assessment is compliant with installation parameters.
* Provide engineered solutions to key project problems to satisfy clients expectations and budget considerations.
* Undertake Direct liaison with CAD team to ensure correct drawing modelling, to BIM or other standards.
