Compton Care has an 18 bedded inpatient unit, virtual ward, a 24/7 rapid response and planned care community team, day therapies, counselling and support, and a lymphoedema service. We aim to provide first class palliative care to all who need it, wherever they are. Our specialist care, whether delivered at our purpose-built facilities or at home is tailored to individual needs. As well as providing high quality clinical care, Compton Care also offers a wide range of enhanced care services including psychological therapies, social care, respite and complementary therapies.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for the right doctor to join our skilled, dynamic team in providing palliative care to patients with life limiting illnesses. The post will be based at Compton Care and you will primarily care for patients on the Inpatient Unit. There may be opportunity to also gain some experience with our community team. You will work as part of the medical team with dedicated consultants and a highly motivated multidisciplinary team.
Education is a priority and there is a proactive Learning & Development department. We are research active and have a research group that supports both individual and collaborative projects. There are ample opportunities to develop your interest in the specialty through regular medical educational sessions, teaching consultant ward rounds and inbuilt CPD time.
This post is suitable for doctors who have completed the foundation programme. You will be required to participate in the first on-call rota. Less than full time hours can be considered.
