TekAlloy are proud to be working with a leading engineering and manufacturing business in our area.
They are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Project Manager to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis. Joining a team of long servers and some highly skilled Engineers, the successful person will be responsible for the planning and management of builds, repairs, and commissioning of a range of bespoke machinery.
The purpose of the role is to manage and coordinate the day-to-day delivery of projects, both internal and outsourced services and solutions, to meet customers’ high standards and expectations, whilst maximizing gross profit without compromising quality via financial/scheduling targets for each project.
The Role
* Liaise with design department to ensure client drawings are issued on time and to the correct revision.
* Plan project deliverables and communicate with Site Installations Managers with updates on the install programme.
* Provide project forecasts and cost analysis, issuing invoice claims and stage payments.
* Monitor quality processes and documentation to internal requirements, and that of the customer.
* Maximise cash inflows, providing financial invoice project forecasts monthly.
* Produce project updates and communicate with the customer regularly, including supplier liaison for timely deliveries.
* Updating project records and job costings whilst managing sub-contractor requirements.
* Produce weekly project status and tracking reports to your manager and Directors.
* Travel to customer sites and attend site meetings when required.
* Work closely with our Purchasing team to ensure clients programme is adhered to.
* Schedule and manage resources to deliver projects on time.
Key Activities:
* Understanding and implementing high level Health and Safety installations across Machines and Applications.
* Working closely with the Senior Engineering Team on Group-wide Projects.
* Liaising with other Departments, Contractors, and external Suppliers to ensure Projects are completed to the correct level and standard.
* Work on breakdowns to ensure downtime is reduced.
* Understanding and working to BS and EN Standards on new Machinery, or Machinery upgrades.
* Procuring and ordering parts, whilst maintaining minimal costs and budgets.
* Willingness to work across multiple sites.
Ideal Candidate:
* Personal interest in Automation, Product Handling, and bespoke heavy machinery designs.
* Knowledge of mechanical systems including Hydraulics.
* Knowledge of ERP systems.
* NEC 3 or 4.
* Structured and organised approach to Projects.
* Good understanding of Electrical Control Systems.
* Willingness to travel and visit various sites and projects, lending expertise.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
