JOB TITLE: Director, Performance Management & Insights (12-month Fixed Term Contract)
LOCATION: London
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About This Opportunity
The Corporate and Institutional Bank (CIB) serves the financial needs of large clients (generally more than £100m turnover) who have a strong link to the UK from our bases in the UK and the USA that support our ability to Help Britain Prosper. Our purpose-led, disciplined growth strategy builds on our expertise in transaction banking, debt financing and risk management.
Balance Sheet Management sits within CIB’s Client Solutions Group. This year we have taken on the additional responsibility of the CIB performance framework across our Product and Relationship teams.
This is an exciting fixed term contract opportunity to develop our approach on Relationship and Sector performance, helping CIB to work smarter and deliver growth, through insights and collaboration across the business.
Success in this role would mean:
* Developing and delivering a data-led, efficient framework to provide insightful MI and analysis.
* Driving purpose-led collaboration across our front office teams.
* Providing effective challenge on performance to senior management.
* Delivering a consistent view of financial and non-financial performance.
* Building successful partnerships with our Data & Analytics and Finance teams.
What You’ll Need
We’re looking for a highly motivated individual who can bring vision, passion, and innovation to create new and better ways for the business to understand its performance drivers, make the best use of the resources available and take better decisions to drive growth.
Specifically, we’re looking for:
* Performance management experience, ideally within a commercial banking environment.
* Practical knowledge of the products we offer and the range of clients we service in CIB.
* The ability to interpret and apply an understanding of financial metrics to make better business decisions.
* A creative thinker who can identify innovative approaches and successfully deliver across numerous priorities.
* Genuine curiosity and a desire to take ownership, adapting to an evolving competitive environment and internal developments.
* A clear communicator who is able to engage and influence stakeholders across the Group up to Executive level.
And any experience of these would be really useful:
* An understanding of client and pipeline management tools, e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365.
* Experience of using technology to automate and simplify processes.
* Experience using data insights to drive better decision making and improve performance.
* Sales & Operations Planning or similar processes.
