As the Concrete Package Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of concrete packages within the project. You will collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of concrete-related tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete construction processes, excellent project management skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment. You will be managing a team of 4 and will need to have strong people management skills. You will ideally have a strong understanding of the commercial side of the industry as well and will have worked with NEC contracts on major infrastructure projects. You will be working closely with the tunnelling team and overseeing the precast viaduct factory that is onsite. This is a fully site-based role and is a permanent position with no hybrid working offered.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed plans for concrete packages, considering timelines, resources, and budget constraints.
* Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination: Source and manage relationships with concrete suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
* Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that all concrete work meets industry standards and project specifications.
* Budget Management: Work closely with the finance department to monitor and control costs related to concrete packages, providing regular updates on budget status.
* Timeline Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, closely monitoring progress and addressing any delays to ensure on-time project completion.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to concrete packages and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
* Communication: Facilitate clear communication between project teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned with project goals.
Requirements:
You will need to have Project Management experience working on major infrastructure projects for a UK-based contractor. On top of this, I am looking for someone technically capable so a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred as well as having good stability throughout your CV.
Rewards and Benefits:
Given that my client is working on the largest project in Europe you will be rewarded with a salary ranging between £70,000 – £80,000 + package on top. The package includes 25 days holiday, health cover and a pension scheme. There is also a car allowance of £5,000 per year.
