The Role
Our Support Workers play a vital role in the lives of the people we support and their families. You will work within our Residential, Supported Living and Domiciliary Care services, working with people with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and/or behaviours that challenge.
18. The activities you will take part in are wide-ranging and centred around the individual you are supporting.
19. You will be trained to offer person-centred support, which promotes dignity, independence and well-being.
20. We operate a number of services, some of which are very complex and you may be required to work within challenging environments.
21. You will actively promote independence in accessing the local community, and encourage engaging in work and further education where possible.
22. In a domestic setting, you will help individuals learn to cook and keep their living space clean and tidy.
23. You will provide focused support to assist people with individual tasks, personal care and medication needs.
24. Everyone is unique, we want you find the way to get the best out of all the people we support, by positively promoting independence, choice, dignity and privacy.
Training
25. If you don’t have any previous care experience, we will provide you with the relevant training.
26. We provide personal career pathways that enable staff to develop their skills, knowledge and expertise within a supportive Social Care team.
27. We will support you to develop your understanding of clinical and social care issues which may arise.
28. We will assist you in creating your own career pathway, ensuring that you feel confident in all aspects of the role.

Our Residential Care Homes
Our residential services provide people with the extra care and support they might need. We aim to create a homely and welcoming environment for the people we support, their family and friends, and staff. We support people with a range of different needs and we enable people to live the life they want.
Supported Living
At M&D Care, we aim to provide the people we support with the skills to live independently. Our supported living environments offer a step-down from residential support, which enables people to live in their own community based accommodation within a service that is staffed 24 hours of the day. The aim is to offer advice and practical support around daily living and to offer the people we support greater independence, whilst also providing an environment that feels safe and secure.
Domiciliary Care
We provide essential care and support for people who live in their own homes. This support is built around people’s needs and routines to helps them remain in their home in a safe and supported way. Helping people stay connected with their communities is one of the most important aspects of this service. Domiciliary care enables people to keep doing the things that matter most to them while staying connected to their friends and families, more and more people are choosing to use home care services to get the care they need.
