We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated children's nurse to join our team within The James Cook University Hospital Children and Young People Emergency Department.
Working as part of a caring and passionate nursing team you will responsibly deliver direct patient care to a high standard in accordance with the Trust's established nursing procedures. Leading by example you will promote the safeguarding, wellbeing and interests of all patients and their families whilst taking personal responsibility for ensuring the needs of patients are achieved.
Main duties of the job
Care of the Paediatric patient up to 18 years within our new and developing area which includes the Emergency Department and Paediatric Assessment Unit. We provide care from the arrival in the Department until discharge or transfer. We are a team committed to delivering and maintaining high quality patient care and are looking to attract nurses who are forward thinking and keen to develop their knowledge and skills in this area. In return we will support ongoing professional development by way of full preceptorship and provide opportunities for the individual to develop their clinical skills.
Applicants must demonstrate effective communication skills, be enthusiastic, well-motivated and share a commitment to team working.
Registration with the NMC as a RSCN/Child Branch nurse is essential.
