Job summary ROTATIONAL BAND 6 OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - Development post PermanentFull time or part time opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time or part time band 6 occupational therapist to join our rotation programme. This can be a developmental band 5 to 6 post if needed where you will be able to undertake a nine-month programme to further develop your skills and knowledge to achieve a senior occupational therapy position. This post provides the opportunity to develop your leadership knowledge, whilst developing your clinical skills in various settings across the acute and community. These include the acute stroke, community assessment bed settings, medical, surgical, and respiratory alongside orthopaedics. There is a broad range of specialities within our friendly team that you can experience as part of your rotations, with an opportunity to tailor your learning to progress your career. Main duties of the job To provide assessments and interventions to patients within the rotational settings. To participate in professional supervision and training for other occupational therapists, students and therapy assistants. To assist the team lead in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the service provided to patients, on a day-to-day basis. To provide additional support in the absence of the team lead and to the wider teams as required. To actively contribute to service improvements to ensure practice is of the highest quality, evidence based and meets the needs of the local population.
