Chief Operating Officer – electronic money Gibraltar – relocation from UK available Our Gibraltar based client provides cross border payments and global digital corporate banking services. They are seeking a hands on and proactive Chief Operating Officer reporting to the MD who will be responsible for all operations focussing on issuance of core banking products, E-Money and payments. As well as overseeing the implementation and integrations relating to core E-money systems including Google and Apple Pay, transaction monitoring, reconciliations and banking lite systems, you will have responsibility for managing monitoring the MI and related costs. To be successful in this role, you will have strong interpersonal skills and gravitas. Day to day, you will be accountable for : • The Bank’s operational strategy advising the Board and SLT on issues related to Clients, operational processes and policies • Ensuring that operations align with Bank goals and performance targets • Assisting the MD to execute the Board’s strategy including development and implement the Bank's strategic vision and long-term plans • Managing Client Relationships, E-Money and Bank Operations teams • Ensuring operational compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards • Planning and managing the day-to-day running of bank operations to meet Client expectations ensuring SLA’s are adhered to • Oversee the leading of multiple projects • Quarterly attendance and presentation of Operations and Client updates to Board of Directors • Lead the relationships with Mastercard, Visa, processors and card manufacturers • Ensure that the Bank’s reporting requirements are met • Establish a solid working relationship with Clients obtaining a full understanding of their business, recommending solutions to operational challenges • Work closely with key internal stakeholders ensuring a consistent operational approach Abilities and Skills Required: · Technical background, experience in operations across banking / payments, particularly e-money • Familiarity with projects and their lifecycle • Comprehensive knowledge of Mastercard and Visa products and processes • Understanding of European and UK Banking Regulations, preferable
