Sociology Teacher - Full-time, Permanent (September 2025 Start) A diverse Mixed School in Ealing seeks a passionate and engaging Sociology Teacher to join our Humanities department. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to critically analyse social structures, inequalities, and contemporary social issues. About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Sociology lessons at A-Level, covering core areas such as social inequality, crime and deviance, education, and family. Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that incorporate sociological theories, research methods, and critical analysis of social phenomena, ensuring students develop a strong understanding of sociological principles and methodologies. Assess student progress through essays, presentations, research projects, and debates, providing detailed and constructive feedback to support their academic development. Organize and facilitate sociological discussions, debates, and research projects, encouraging students to explore diverse perspectives and engage with contemporary social issues. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Sociology or a related field, demonstrating a deep understanding of sociological theories and research methods. Extensive experience teaching A-Level Sociology, with a proven track record of student success and a commitment to high academic standards. Strong knowledge of sociological research methods, data analysis, and ethical considerations in sociological research. Excellent communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds. A passion for sociology education and a commitment to fostering social awareness and critical thinking.
