Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Refurbishment Project (Permanent)

Salary: £95,000 or £400 per day
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join a prestigious principal contractor on a £3m refurbishment project in Hertfordshire. This 52-week programme is a high-profile project, and you will be leading from the front as the No1 on site. As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the project from start to finish, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will work directly with clients, acting as the main point of contact and liaising regularly with them to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and expectations. This is a key leadership position that requires both technical expertise and strong client-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full ownership of the £3m refurbishment project, managing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the project runs smoothly from start to finish.
Lead and coordinate the site team to deliver the project on time and to the highest standard.
Manage and monitor the project’s budget, ensuring that costs are controlled and that the project remains within scope.
Act as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring excellent communication and a positive relationship throughout the project.
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of works.
Oversee site safety and ensure all health and safety regulations are followed.
Provide regular progress reports to the client and senior management.
Resolve any issues or challenges that arise on site promptly and efficiently.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager with a background in refurbishment projects.
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Excellent client-facing experience with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and regulations.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage project budgets effectively.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS Card.
