About The Role
We are currently recruiting for Bank - Female - Support Workers to work with a young lady with an acquired brain injury and cerebral palsy. She lives in the family home in the Luton area. This lady has complex care needs and is fed via a PEG, has oral suctioning and also has epilepsy.
About You
You will be friendly, approachable, reliable, and trustworthy. You will work well as part of a team but also be able to use your own initiative. You will have excellent communication skills both verbally and written. You will be observant, sensitive, considerate, and empathetic. Previous experience with complex care is essential as is the ability to move and handle this young lady using ceiling track hoist, manual hoist, and shower trolley. Being registered on the DBS update service would be beneficial.
The shift times are as follows:
* Day shift: Monday to Friday - 4.30pm to 10.15pm
* Day shift: Saturday and Sunday - 9.15am to 10.15pm
* Waking night shift: Monday to Sunday - 10.15pm to 9.15am
* Sleeping night shift: 10.15pm to 9.15am
Non-smokers are preferred as this is a completely Non-Smoking household.
An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check will be required.
Rates of Pay: Up to £16.50 per hour upon successful completion of competencies and training.
