We have a new career opportunity for a Senior Mobile Engineer Planner to join the team based at Birchwood reporting to the Technical Support Manager.
As Senior Mobile Engineer Planner you will be responsible for managing a team of Mobile Engineers Planners to ensure an excellent customer experience during the breakdown journey by coordinating and planning mobile engineering resources effectively, ensuring the quickest response to reported breakdowns and maximised productivity of the Mobile Engineers Planners and Mobile Engineers.
You will also contribute to the coordinating customers communications regarding reported breakdowns, contribute to the achievement of the regional performance whilst contributing to the improvement of engineering standards and driving effectiveness and efficiency throughout the engineering operations.

Responsibilities include:
? Actively manage standards and performance of Mobile Engineers Planners

? Actively manage targets of Mobile Engineers planners, including Mobile Engineers performance, deadlines for machines that require exchange, machines on hire awaiting parts, machines on hire with defects affecting safety, due dates of LOLER inspections for machine on hire
? Manage resources within the team to ensure daily activity of Mobile Engineers Planners and Mobile Engineers
? Ensure sufficient resources are in place to support holiday periods/absence
? Monitor daily activity of Planners and take corrective action to meet set targets and ensure effective and balanced workload of Mobile Engineers
? Plan breakdowns attendances, considering mobile engineers workload capacity, urgency of the breakdowns, geography, and other elements to ensure quick resolution of the breakdowns and effective management of the mobile resources
? Raise purchase orders to third party suppliers for work undertaken
? Coordinate appropriate external suppliers' attendances of the breakdowns
? Continuously review any breakdowns that require revisits and follow up with depots spare parts orders for machines on hire
The ideal candidate will have/be:
? Previous experience in managing small teams
? Previous experience in engineers planning (or similar resources) in a fast-pacing environment
? Good understanding of UK geography
? Credible communicator, oral and written, with customer facing experience
? Ability to work on their own initiative, being proactive and properly prioritise the day-to-day activity in accordance with the set targets
? The ability to clarify goals and objectives to work to an agreed pattern of output and to prioritise tasks and activities
