Job Title: Managing Director

AD Energy are are recruiting for a Biogas Managing Director to join our client on a full time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's financial health, operational efficiency, and market presence while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and employees. Having a strong sales background will give the selected candidate the best chance of success as this role will be a work wining role.
Position Overview:
The Managing Director will drive growth and success through strategic vision, sales leadership, and effective regional management. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in sales and management, preferably with operational expertise in the renewable energy sector. The Managing Director will be responsible for ensuring the company's financial health, operational efficiency, and market presence while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
* Develop and execute the business strategies to achieve short-term and long-term goals aligned with the company’s objectives.
* Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to ensure growth, cost-effective operations, and market expansion.
* Provide strategic insights on market position, trends and the company’s future.
Sales Leadership:
* Own UK sales pipeline development, driving capital project and services sales.
* Lead and manage the sales process, including lead identification, pre-qualification, customer engagement, and contract closure, supported by the proposals team and senior management.
* Chair weekly sales and marketing reviews, ensuring CRM systems are updated and sales forecasts are met.
* Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy, including the annual UK budget.
* Network and establish relationships to raise the company’s profile and generate business opportunities.
Operational Oversight:
* Oversee financial performance, investments, and overall business ventures in the region.
* Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and corporate guidelines, safeguarding the brand.
* Implement and maintain standardized procedures in production to enhance cost efficiency and brand consistency.
* Analyze challenges, devise solutions, and ensure the company’s growth and sustainability.
Team and Stakeholder Management:
* Lead and motivate the UK team
* Develop staffing plans to support the regional priorities and business objectives
* Provide guidance, foster employee engagement, and approve training opportunities for professional development.
* Build trust with key partners, stakeholders, and shareholders, acting as the primary point of contact for important relationships.
Reporting and Communication:
* Communicate and report regularly to the holding company and shareholders, offering updates on financial performance, sales achievements, and market developments.
* Generate monthly reports on budget status and project sales forecasts.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in sales and regional management, with a strong preference for experience in renewable energy operations.
* Proven track record of developing and executing business strategies that drive growth.
* Strong leadership and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and lead effective teams.
* Familiarity with compliance, operational processes, and financial reporting.
* Exceptional networking and relationship-building capabilities.
