The Role We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work closely with our students who have Moderate to Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. You will be responsible for providing personalised support, helping students with their learning, social, and personal development. This role involves working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a safe and stimulating learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting learning materials and resources to meet individual needs. Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies tailored to each student's abilities and goals. Support students with their physical and emotional well-being, including assisting with personal care and mobility where necessary. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student engagement and participation. Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to monitor and record student progress, contributing to assessment and review processes. Help to manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe, respectful learning space for all students. What We’re Looking For Experience: Experience in a similar school setting is highly desirable. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Ability to adapt quickly to the needs of different students. Knowledge: Understanding of the specific needs and challenges faced by students with Special Educational Needs. Qualifications: A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support is preferred, but we also value experience and passion for the role.
