Job Description
Progress your Quantity Surveying career! Join a busy social housing contractor with an excellent pipeline of works.
My client is a regional housing contractor. Due to an increase in contract wins from repeat clients, they are looking for Project Quantity Surveyors to join the commercial team. This is an exciting time of growth for the business, and the increased workload has led to these vacancies. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be tasked with planning, controlling, managing, and ensuring effective administration of the commercial and financial aspects of all contracts while ensuring complete compliance with the contract outlines.
The project consists of both new build homes and some apartment projects, all projects are social housing, so you will have experience delivering new build projects of this type.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and develop commercial processes and procedures to maximize returns in terms of profit.
2. Manage and reduce unnecessary costs and inefficient activities.
3. Maximize cash flow through valuations, submission of invoices, and receipt of payment.
4. Final Accounts management including variations, claims, and disputes.
5. Financial forecasting for use in setting targets and managing the business.
6. Monitoring resources and costs to ensure that the projects meet agreed targets.
7. Working alongside the Bid Team in the preparation and costings of tenders for new work.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. You will have experience of working within the Construction industry for a Housing contractor, ideally on new build housing schemes.
2. You will have sound knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of Contract.
3. You will be degree qualified or equivalent.
