Your Role As a HR Assistant, you’ll take on a varied role, including: Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes for new employees. Ensuring Right to Work checks are completed and accurately recorded in the HR system. Provide support for internal and external HR enquiries. Maintain electronic employee records (e.g., sickness, family leave). Administer the company’s employee benefits scheme. Coordinate HR-related training programs and workshops. Support new hire induction logistics, including mandatory e-learning modules. Producing and submitting reports on HR activities/trends and statistics. Supporting with HR employee / industrial related processes such as disciplinary, and grievance investigations and meetings. Staying up to date with the latest HR best practices. General and ad-hoc HR administrative duties. Travel to VGC offices and sites throughout the UK to support HR activities as required. What we are looking for To thrive in this role, you’ll bring: Exceptional organisation skills with strong attention to detail. The ability to communicate professionally, confidently and discreetly handle sensitive information. Adept at juggling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. Knowledge of or enthusiasm for HR, ethical and legal best practices. Your Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as an HR Administrator. Proficiency with IT systems including Microsoft Office. Knowledge of GDPR, Right to Work, the Equality Act, and other legislation relevant to the recruitment industry. CIPD Level 3 Certificate (desirable) or working towards it (potential funding for Level 5 available). Why join VGC?
