It's an exciting time to join Bromford as our business continues to grow and evolve. We're looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join us as a finance apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop professionally, gain hands-on experience, and build a solid foundation for your finance career. You'll work towards an association of accounting technicians (AAT) level 2 and 3 qualification while gaining real-world experience in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Working closely with our financial services team, you'll gain exposure to various areas, including transactional finance, accounting, governance, and controls. As well as support key financial tasks and processes, working on real projects that contribute to the success of our organisation.
This apprenticeship is a full time, 3-year fixed term contract, including 3 years of part time study. You'll be based from our Wolverhampton (WV10 6TB) office with regular home working available.
There are no specific restrictions on prior qualifications, but you cannot have a Level 3 (or equivalent), or higher qualification, in the same subject as the role you are applying for.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the accounts payable and receivable processes
* Prepare and process financial documents such as invoices, statements, and expense reports
* Input accurate financial and non-financial data to meet agreed deadlines
* Support month-end and year-end financial close processes
* Help with bank reconciliations and account analysis
* Participate in the preparation of financial reports
* Conduct research to support finance department projects
What We're Looking For
* GCSC Maths grade 4 and above ( grade C and above) as minimum requirement. A college degree in finance or accounting is preferred but not essential
* A strong desire to study for a recognised accountancy qualification (AAT)
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Strong mathematical, analytical skills, and the ability to follow processes and controls meticulously
* A flexible approach to work with demonstrated reliability
* The ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks thoroughly
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and work independently when needed
