The Role
:
As a Nursery Manager, you will lead and enhance the early years practice, ensuring outstanding care and education for children within a dynamic and collaborative setting.
Responsibilities:
1. Take responsibility for safeguarding and child protection, including the Designated Safeguarding Lead role in the Nursery Manager’s absence.
2. Lead the development and implementation of educational programmes and curricula.
3. Maintain high-quality teaching and learning practices.
4. Create an effective learning environment with high-quality, safe resources.
5. Promote inclusion and engage with parents/carers and the wider community.
6. Act as the SENCO and manage all related responsibilities.
7. Build strong relationships with the nursery team, acting as a trusted leader.
8. Recruit and induct new team members, ensuring alignment with safer recruitment practices.
9. Share operational insights with the management team to ensure the nursery's success.
10. Ensure compliance with Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted standards.
11. Manage the nursery’s financial objectives and budgets effectively.
Requirements:
12. Previously worked as a Nursery Manager or in a similar role.
13. Minimum of 2 years' experience in an early year’s leadership role.
14. Level 6 or higher qualification in Early Years or Childcare and Education.
15. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
16. Enhanced DBS check.
17. Right to work in the UK.
