Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Birmingham, UK Contract: Full-time, Term-time Only Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. You will work alongside class teachers and other support staff to provide tailored learning experiences for children with SEN, ensuring they reach their full potential in both academic and social development. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support for students with SEN. Assist in creating and delivering differentiated lesson plans. Support students with personal care and mobility needs, if required. Encourage independence and help build student's confidence. Monitor and report on student's progress. Work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students. Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with SEN is preferred but not essential. A genuine passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students. A DBS check (we will assist in arranging this).
