As a DEEP Training Designer, you will create detailed, effective, and engaging training content and curriculums for technical diving and submersibles operations. You will create detailed lesson plans, course materials, assessments, and instructional guides tailored to various skill levels, from beginner to expert, incorporating hands-on training elements, simulations, and practical exercises that reflect real-world scenarios and challenges. DEEP is creating training as a product to advance humankind’s ability to access and explore our oceans. Reporting to the Director Training, you will apply adult learning theories and instructional design best practices to create training programmes that are both effective and learner-centred. You will develop engaging and interactive training content, including e-learning modules, manuals, presentations, and multimedia resources, to enhance the learning experience, ensure all content is technically accurate, up-to-date, and reflective of the latest advancements in diving and submersible technologies. You will partner with DEEP’s world-leading Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather necessary information, transform this into multimedium content, validate content accuracy, and ensure relevance to current operational practices. What you will need You won’t need any prior knowledge of diving or submersibles, but you must be a passionate ‘digital native’ with extensive experience of creating exceptional training and a passion for the scientific potential of deep-sea exploration, oceans preservation and oceanic discovery. Demonstrable success in production of high-volume training content in LMS with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in an accessible manner. Experienced in manipulation of graphics to communicate complex instructions. Accomplished in utilising various instructional methodologies, including blended learning, experiential learning, and simulation-based training, to accommodate different learning styles. Experienced in designing assessments and evaluations to measure learning outcomes and ensure training objectives are met. Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
