Contract type: Permanent, 35 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

At Jones Whyte, our people are at the centre of everything we do. We are looking for an experienced HR Executive to join our People Team. Reporting to the People and Operations Manager, you will provide an effective and efficient HR service to the team at Jones Whyte.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an HR role and will be responsible for the daily administrative and HR duties of the company. They will have knowledge and experience in the most important areas in HR - induction, holidays and absence management, payroll, maternity / paternity policies, grievance and dismissal procedures.

Objectives of the Role
* Ensuring the smooth day to day running of all personnel related matters and systems
* Updating & calculating holidays/managing absences/liaising with managers in relation to these
* Updating work patterns/department/role changes
* Issuing probation reminders/letters
* Managing the HR Ticketdesk and deal with first line enquiries (escalating to the People and Operations Manager where required)
* Assisting with payroll at month end
* Overseeing and attending HR events and meetings
* Assisting with employee relations issues
* Supporting any administration for projects
* Managing sensitive and confidential information
Requirements: Essential
* CIPD qualification (or working towards it)
* Previous experience in an HR role – 1 year minimum
* Working knowledge of employment laws, HR functions and best practices – 1 year minimum
* Strong understanding of confidentiality and the ability to work discreetly in handling sensitive information
* Strong IT skills with knowledge of computer applications and HR specific software
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
* Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work quickly, accurately and discretely
* Attention to detail
* Self motivation with the ability to exercise clear judgement
* Strong organisational skills
* Strong work ethic and team player
* Ability to work independently
