We are currently recruiting for an Accountant who will play a key role in supporting the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and managing the central finance operations for Shaw Education Trust, which includes 32 schools. You will oversee the daily activities of the central finance team, ensuring that all financial processes are efficient, accurate, and completed on time.
In this role, you will work closely with various teams across the Trust to make sure financial procedures meet the required standards set out in the Academies Financial Handbook and the Trust's Financial Scheme of Delegation. You will help develop strategies to manage financial risks, ensure compliance, and maintain the accuracy of financial information and reporting across the Trust.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing monthly financial reports.
2. Producing annual financial statements.
3. Completing other necessary financial returns.
This is an important role where attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders will be essential.
