Job Description:
The Trainee Probation Officer Programme offers a training salary of £26,475, moving to £35,130 upon qualifying. Additionally, a London weighting allowance of £4,249 is provided. This extraordinary role allows you to change lives by working with offenders in the community, prisons, and courts, supporting them to turn their lives around while gaining a professional qualification.
What the Role Involves:
You will work as a probation services officer while earning your qualification. Your responsibilities include visiting prisons and attending courts to make interventions that help offenders understand their behavior and motivate them to change. You will assist in helping them realize their potential, thereby contributing to safer communities.
Through a mix of theory and practical training, you will also engage with victims of crime, colleagues across the criminal justice system, charities, and the wider community, learning from various situations daily.

What You Need to Apply:
A recognized Level 3 qualification or above (e.g., A level, access to higher education diploma, advanced apprenticeship, applied general, or AS level) in any subject is required. We offer different learning programmes based on your qualification level, ranging from 15 months for Graduates with a level 5 qualification to 27 months for non-graduates. If successful, we will assess your previous education to determine the appropriate length of the programme.
