JOB TITLE: Cleaning and Landscape Operative
LOCATION: Inverness Retail Park
PAY RATE: £12.00 per hour
SHIFT PATTERN: 12 Hours 4 on 4 off
REPORTING TO: Line Manager
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE:
Your role will be to deliver cleaning & light landscaping services to client facilities in and around the retail park to a high standard. This includes pressure washing, weeding, litter picking, sweeping waste management, spot cleaning glass doors/windows, cleaning all stainless-steel fixtures and barriers/glass door panels, planting flowers, cutting grass, and pruning trees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. General cleaning and some landscape duties in an external environment, including roads and car parks.
2. Acting as a helpful point of contact for customers needing assistance.
3. Being vigilant for health and safety issues and reporting them to the management team.
4. Ensuring compliance with cleaning/maintenance checks and site-specific regulations.
5. Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming site for clients and customers.
6. Serving as an excellent ABM brand ambassador.
7. Planting new flowers, trees, grass, hedges, and bushes.
8. Maintaining gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding.
9. Watering plants and lawns and applying fertilizer as needed.
10. Removing snow, ice, and leaves as required.
11. Building and renovating stone pathways, patios, and ledges.
12. Loading and unloading equipment and tools into work vehicles.
13. Driving work vehicles around sites.
14. Adhering to all RAMS and H&S guidelines.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
1. Excellent attention to detail in cleaning/maintenance responsibilities.
2. Experience in cleaner/maintenance service within a retail or similar environment (desirable).
3. Ability to work as part of a team.
4. Must work on own initiative with a proactive and flexible attitude.
5. Ability to follow instructions.
6. Flexibility to meet the needs and demands of the role and business.
7. Must hold a valid driving license.
HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
2. Report any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may result in service delivery failure or risk to health, safety, or the environment.
3. Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
4. Report any issues or training needs to your Line Manager and/or via the divisional incident reporting system.
