Children & Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner Trainees, CAMHS (training posts) in West and East Berkshire - Fixed Term 1 YEAR.
We are looking to recruit to 9 training posts; 3 based across the Getting Help East Service, 3 based within the Neurodiversity Team (Autism Assessment Team and ADHD Team) and 3 training posts within the Anxiety and Depression in Young People (AnDY) Research Clinic in Reading.
The Getting Help East service has three teams working alongside the local authorities of Bracknell Forest, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, and Slough. Each team delivers brief, high quality, evidence-based, psychological interventions for children and young people with anxiety, depression, and behavioural difficulties.

Candidates will need to be ready to start academic training in February 2025. Interviews will be held jointly with the University of Reading and successful candidates will be required to complete the application form for a place on the Graduate/Postgraduate Certificate in Brief Evidence-Based Psychological Interventions for CYP with Common Mental Health Problems course.
Main duties of the job
The role of the trainee children's wellbeing practitioners is to provide brief evidence-based and CBT informed interventions for children and young people who are presenting with mild-moderate anxiety, low mood, and behavioural difficulties in the community or those waiting for an autism and/or ADHD assessment or who have already received a diagnosis of either/both.

18. To complete the Postgraduate Diploma: honours degree graded at 2:2 or above.

19. To complete the Graduate Diploma: evidence of ability to study at Level 6 (, previous successful study at level 5; or successful part completion of an Honours degree - level 6)

Previous Experience

23. A minimum of one year's experience of supporting CYP with their mental health
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

24. Knowledge of CYP gained through academic study in child development, child wellbeing or mental health.
25. Ability to study as a self-motivated learner and to effectively implement training into practice.
26. Excellent IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office including high standard of letter and report writing
