Graduate Behaviour Support Assistant Required - Fareham SEN School U-Educate is seeking a passionate and motivated Graduate (in any sector) to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" SEN school in Fareham as a Behaviour support Assistant. This full-time position begins ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent role depending on performance. About the Role: As a Graduate Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development. This position is particularly well-suited for graduates with a background in psychology who are interested in pursuing a career in education, mental health, or related fields. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with diverse needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons by adapting materials and strategies to meet individual student needs. Observe and support students' progress, identifying areas where additional assistance may be required. Use psychological principles to help students develop positive coping mechanisms, resilience, and confidence. What We’re Looking For: The ideal candidate will: Be a recent graduate in psychology or any related field. Have a genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students and staff. Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience in working with students facing challenges. Have some experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable groups (desirable but not essential).
