We have an exciting role working alongside our physiotherapists & occupational therapists in our orthopaedic team. We are looking for someone dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated to support the team in providing therapy services on the wards.

Do you have experience working within a physical health setting or have a foundation degree in rehabilitation or similar and looking for your next challenge? If so, this could be your next career move.
This role will involve you working closely with the multidisciplinary team, assessing and treating patients with a wide range of presentations. You should be adaptable, flexible, have a great sense of humour and enjoy working as part of a large friendly team in a busy environment. The role is a rotational post on an annual basis. The teams that this role will rotate into are medicine, orthopaedics, stroke, older people, surgery & amputees, musculoskeletal and emergency therapy.
Main duties of the job
To assist the therapy team in providing a high standard service to patients referred from orthopaedics, by supporting the multi-professional team assisting in the assessment and implementation of treatment programmes and care plans for patients.

Experience
* Appropriate experience of working in a therapy/nursing assistant role
* Experience of working as part of a team
* Acute NHS experience in either therapy or nursing assistant role
Skills
* Ability to work alone in supportive settings
* Ability to teach practical skills to clients and carers
* Ability to work under pressure
* Ability to present information both orally and written in a clear and logical manner.
* Ability to keep accurate and legible patient notes
* IM&T/computer skills: ability to send/receive emails, place electronic orders, record onto electronic health records
