About the role
In your role as Payroll Administrator you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to carry out administrative tasks within the Pensions Payroll processing team in order to provide an effective and efficient payroll service.
What you will be doing
As a trusted part of the Pensions Operations you will be responsible for:
* Processing/checking data changes for the pensions payroll and ensure all associated pension payroll tasks are completed within agreed timescales.
* Completing correspondence, in accordance with company house style standards and complete follow up reviews within agreed timescales.
* Completing pensioner existence checks for gone aways in accordance with agreed procedures.
* Completing third-party payments and manual pensioner payments as required.
* Liaising with overseas payment provider for the setting up of overseas payment transfers direct to overseas bank accounts as requested by the pensioner/beneficiary.
* Investigating returned pension payments taking appropriate action (re-issue/reversal) as required. Including the recall of payments from the bank.
* Completing GMP calculations as required.
* Handling day to day enquiries from internal and external customers and assist with other tasks required for the efficient running of the section.

To be successful in the role you will have:
* Highly motivated with excellent organisational/planning skills.
* Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft office.
* Experience of personal income tax (preferable but not essential).
