A fantastic role has arisen for a Finance Systems Accountant (D365) to join a large multinational company based in High Wycombe. This role offers fantastic progression and excellent hybrid working options.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver the day-to-day operation and maintenance of finance systems in line with Finance Support Service Design.
2. Support the processing and control of month-end activities.
3. Serve as a functional expert with relevant experience in the following modules: Finance, Projects, P2P S2C, Fixed Assets/Leases.
4. Assist in defining new processes and evolving finance ways of working while keeping up to date on industry best practices.
5. Partner with the BI analytics team and lead on the maintenance of master data and rollout of the agreed Data Governance requirements across the systems user base.
6. Troubleshoot system functional issues, identify root causes, and implement and advise on solutions in a timely manner in line with the service catalogue and SLAs.
7. Conduct user testing and quality assurance activities as part of upgrades and deployment of new functionality.
8. Collaborate with both IT and Configuration teams to help resolve technical issues and optimize system performance and functionality.
9. Support the implementation of new systems within Finance or upgrades to existing systems.
10. Maintain documentation of system configurations, customizations, processes, and training materials for future reference and knowledge sharing.
11. Keep up to date with future Microsoft releases to identify new features to aid with continuous improvement and carry out solution validation activities for any new patches/upgrades.
12. Function as a lead resource on financial systems reporting support, including creating, maintaining, and enhancing in System D365 reports as well as supporting on any reconciliation/validation of published PowerBI workbooks.
Requirements:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (formerly known as Dynamics AX), with experience across all finance modules (including Fixed Assets, Projects & Leases).
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) for extending and integrating with D365 F&O.
3. Familiarity with related technologies such as SQL Server, Azure, and Microsoft Office 365 is desirable.
4. Possess a strong aptitude for accounting principles, finance processes, and data management, with relevant exposure to data migration, system integration, financial or performance reporting, and testing.
5. Knowledge of large company ERP systems coupled with change management/continuous improvement, with an ability to apply critical thinking to troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions.
