Calibration Engineer - Contract
Location: Brixworth
Duration: 12 months (potential extension)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

A unique opportunity to join a leading motorsport team as a Calibration Engineer, specializing in powertrain performance and efficiency.
Key Requirements:
1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or above) (MSc/PhD desirable)
2. Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, hybrid systems & turbocharging
3. Experience with test programs, dyno testing & powertrain calibration
4. Proficiency in data analysis tools (INCA, MDA, CANape, Matlab, Simulink, etc.)
5. Structured and data-driven problem-solving approach
Role Responsibilities:
1. Develop and optimize powertrain calibration for performance, efficiency, and durability
2. Conduct rig, dyno, and simulation testing to refine control strategies
3. Analyze data and validate powertrain systems for drivability and lifecycle requirements
4. Support vehicle testing locally & internationally
5. Work closely with internal teams and customers to develop solutions under tight deadlines
