Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of multiple projects, from the delivery of rate-capable solutions to ensuring product quality and process efficiency. You will work closely with operations leaders, programme management, and customers to support the delivery of world-class manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage technical projects, ensuring successful delivery of solutions within time, cost, and quality constraints.
* Apply engineering knowledge to interpret and meet engineering design requirements.
* Support the design, installation, and commissioning of production solutions and equipment.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and cut costs.
* Review and assess process data to implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and delivery of projects.
* Provide technical training to operations teams and support process optimization.
* Conduct process development trials and testing in line with DoE methodologies.
Essential Skills/ Qualifications
* A HND or degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical subject.
* Proven experience in delivering complex manufacturing solutions across multiple disciplines, such as machining, surface treatments, and assembly.
* In-depth knowledge of manufacturing system design, including discrete event simulation.
* Strong experience working in cross-functional teams, managing competing priorities effectively.
* A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimization using Lean Six Sigma principles.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
* A passion for high-quality engineering and a commitment to excellence.
