The Chief Financial Officer, based in the head office in NW London, heads up the primary international business. Duties
Manage the Accounts Team of 2/3 people within the specific international arm of the business who are responsible for the daily accounting tasks (in Xero) in multiple currencies.
Manage an HR Administrator who is responsible for rostering staff overseas, documenting and checking hours/timesheets for input onto payroll. Authorising payroll.
Refining existing systems in retail outlets to ensure stock is adequately accounted for, measured at point of sale, providing a clear picture of real-time sales. Ensuring that systems are secure to ensure there are no stock or cash losses.
Prepare month end closing journals, retail cost sales journals, loan interest journals and month end journal adjustments liaising with the (Head of Finance and) CEO as required.
Monitor all bank accounts, bank reconciliations and maintain daily cashflow.
Analyse month end P&L and balance sheet review for accuracy of figures reported.
Plan and schedule supplier payment on average over 60 payments per week.
Review Supplier statement of accounts, ensuring accuracy of figures and receipt of invoices.
Prepare and review sales and purchase invoices entered in Xero accounting system.
Responsible for liaising with banks all relevant ad hoc issue.
Analyse the Credit Card statements to journal and ensure no duplication of payments
Develop and oversee financial systems and procedures and identify opportunities to improve them.
Process client invoices, payments, and expenses accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
Manage the subscriptions platform.
Reconciling supplier statement of accounts and ver ify calculations to ensure accuracy
Experience
Essential a m inimum of 4 years post qualification experience.
Essential to have worked in an accounts function in a retail business where there is an understanding of the POS, stock and systems.
Preferable to have worked in an entrepreneurial business.
Exceptional IT, excel skills and advanced Xero.
Qualification:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or similarly related sector
ACCA, ACA or FCCA qualified
