Role- Field Service Engineer Salary- Circa £38,000 - £40,000 per annum plus O/T and other benefits Type- Permanent Location- Scotland My client designs, manufactures and services a range of systems and they are looking to take on a Field Service Engineer due to growth, on a permanent basis, in the Scotland area. The Field Service Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: • NVQ / HNC / HND qualification in Engineering / Electrical Engineering or similar or have the relevant experience • Previous experience working in a similar hands-on Field Service role covering industrial customer sites • Have both electrical and mechanical engineering skills and experience • Knowledge of Control Systems would be preferred • Any exposure to ATEX environments would be desirable • Flexibility to travel in the UK during the first 6 months for training • Previous installation and service experience working with electro-mechanical equipment • Be self-motivated • Good time management capabilities to organise their own diary and service schedule • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team • Ability to work at heights when required too • Proficiency working with MS Office • Have good communication skills to work well with customers • Full UK Driving Licence The Field Service Engineer role will involve: • Working as a key member of the engineering field service team • Working on a range of industrial sites • Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of systems • Diagnosing technical issues and identifying root causes • Providing on-site and remote technical support for customers • Completing EC&I site based inspections • Travelling to a range of customer sites when required, sometimes at short notice • Maintaing service records • Communicating effectively with customers • Be able to problem solve as required • Conform to Health & Safety regulations at all time • Covering mainly the North of the UK with some areas outside of this when on-call If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
