Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a x2 Medical Audio Typist, Post 1 based at Caley Court Resource Centre, Stevenson and Post 2 based a Ayrshire Central Hospital .
What you will do:
You will provide a comprehensive and confidential medical audio typing service within the Mental Health Services Directorate, North Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
1. You will be educated to ‘O’ Grade / Standard Grade Credit / National 5 level in English and Maths and possess an SVQ Level III in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
2. You will have a recognised IT qualification as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint).
3. Advanced keyboard skills, proven audio typing experience and knowledge of medical terminology are also essential.
4. Experience of working in an NHS environment with an understanding of NHS inter-disciplinary networks are desirable.
5. You will also have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and have the ability to work effectively and efficiently whilst integrating as part of a team.
6. You must also have the ability to adhere to strict maintenance of confidentiality with a knowledge/understanding and compliance of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) .
7. The ability to work unsupervised whilst using your own initiative is essential as well as being able to work to challenging timescales by organising and prioritising your workload and having the flexibility to adapt to change and last minute demands.

Hours: 22.2 per week working Monday & Tuesday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and Wednesday, 9.00 am to 4.42 pm.
A car driver is desirable as you may be required to travel across various sites/bases within Ayrshire & Arran.
Post 2 – based at Ayrshire Central Hospital, Irvine
Hours: 37 per week working Monday to Thursday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and Friday, 9.00 am to 4.30 pm.
