Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Fitter / Mechanical Engineer required to join a UK leading mechanical engineering supplier based in Glasgow.
The Successful Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Fitter / Mechanical Engineer will provide service, maintenance, and repair of pumps and valves at the workshop near Glasgow.
The Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Fitter / Mechanical Engineer will have experience fitting/servicing industrial mechanical engineering products/systems such as pumps, engines, motors, gearboxes, valves, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, generators, or other similar mechanical engineering products. Other time-served mechanical fitters will also be considered.

Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Fitter / Mechanical Engineer role:
1. Will provide service, maintenance, repair of pumps, valves, and related products at the workshop in Glasgow.
2. Will be responsible for inspection and testing of all equipment returned to branch, including fault finding and diagnostic work of pumps, valves, and ancillary products.
3. Make sure that all pump and valve products are in line with manufacturing specifications before leaving the workshop for delivery.
4. Ability to complete technical documentation as work progresses.
5. To perform other duties as assigned from time to time and liaise with various engineering departments.
Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Fitter / Mechanical Engineer Requirements:
1. Experience as a workshop engineer, workshop fitter, pump engineer, pump fitter, hydraulic fitter, hydraulic engineer, valve technician, installation engineer, pump installation engineer, mechanical fitter, electro-mechanical fitter, mechanical engineer, service engineer, or similar.
2. Will have a good mechanical engineering background with experience servicing, maintaining, and fitting industrial mechanical engineering products such as pumps, engines, motors, gearboxes, valves, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, generators, or other similar mechanical engineering products.
3. Willingness to commute to the workshop in Glasgow.
