Job Description:
Your Role
We are looking for a Client Finance Senior Case Officer to join the team. You will manage a caseload of complex Deputyship and Appointee clients, carrying out visits to Deputyship Clients and supporting the Local Authority’s Care Act Section 47 Protection of Property duty.
You will liaise with The Court of Protection, Office of the Public Guardian and the Department of Work and Pensions to ensure that the client’s finances are safeguarded, administered appropriately and in the clients’ best interest.
You’ll provide advice and guidance to colleagues within Client Finance Team and carry out auditing, quality checks, financial reconciliations related to Client Finance Team systems and procedures.
About You
The successful candidate will need to have knowledge and experience of DWP Appointeeship and Court of Protection Deputyships.
Attention to detail is essential as there are financial records and systems to maintain.
We need someone with effective organisational skills who can work accurately to deadlines and work flexibly to support the team’s core work and other projects and objectives.

The Client Finance Team administers the finances of vulnerable people who are receiving social care services and lack the mental capacity to deal with their own affairs. The role requires regular days working from the main office.
