For the last 20 years, this major player has been working on a simple mission; to create a more sustainable future. They began life as a family business and have maintained these values as they have grown.
They've gone from strength to strength over this time too, now seeing the team supporting a pipeline of over 3GW in development stages and over 200MW being owned and operated. The pipeline consists of varied technology too, working with solar, onshore wind, BESS, and co-located sites. Their role is to work from early-stage development, through construction and into asset ownership.
Their success is accredited to multiple factors, but their unique approach to the market is a key cause of their accomplishments. They include communities at the forefront of all of their projects, valuing all stakeholders' opinions. They build long-term relationships with partners in their markets, working to boost local economies and habitats. They also value the input of workers to projects, priding themselves on being a people-first organisation.
They have seen significant growth to accommodate and increase on their success. They've recently been backed by a huge player in the renewables field to support this, resulting in new vacancies in the team as well as an increase in pipeline and backing to the group.
One of the new positions in the group is within their grid team. You'd be working alongside the director of Grid and Operations, who has a wealth of experience in the field. You'd be supporting the pipeline to ensure projects are grid compliant at major milestones and to achieve new connection agreements.
The role:
1. Conduct technical feasibility studies for a variety of onshore renewables projects, assessing the viability of projects.
2. Preparing and submitting G99 applications.
3. Working through all development stages, supporting land, development, and planning stages from a technical point.
4. Resolving grid issues, from a technical, legal, and commercial standpoint.
5. Liaising with DNOs and TSOs for these agreements, negotiating offers and ensuring they are compliant.
6. Attend industry events and stay up to date with regulations and legislation in this area.
If you've got a background in this space and would like to take your career to the next level, apply and we can discuss!
