Specialist Support Officer
Full time - Bargoed
Minimum of £83.85 per day / £12.90 per hour
Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working with a local school in Bargoed to provide support to children within a mainstream school setting. We are currently looking for individuals who are advocates for promoting independence within education, whilst also engaging children of all ages to find a love for school and education as a whole.
Your role:
If successful, you will be responsible for assisting children on a 1:1 basis in helping them with their education. You will also support them with their social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. This may involve engaging with children in a playground setting or promoting independence for the child to make their own decisions about building relationships.
The younger years of a child’s life are so important; therefore, the children that require this support will need a cheerleader to celebrate every achievement and support them through their challenges. With this 1:1 support, we hope they will be able to exceed expectations and be given the tools to flourish in later life. The children will have moderate learning difficulties, so understanding their needs and assisting them accordingly will be essential.
We are looking for individuals from all backgrounds; however, if you have a background or experience in this area, it would be advantageous.
