Our client, Gwent Police are seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join their team as a Risk and Governance Supervisor. In this permanent, full-time role based in Cwmbran, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, auditability, and timeliness of internal governance arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Stay up to date with local and national changes that could impact internal policies, and communicate these updates to key stakeholders.
2. Drive improvement in organisational policy compliance, ensuring policies are kept up to date and submitted in a timely manner.
3. Provide an Environmental Scanning service to support decision-making by senior officers and enhance the strategic planning process.
4. Proactively engage with stakeholders to predict and mitigate potential risks, and present relevant information to force boards.
5. Maintain the strategic risk strategy, policy, and organisational risk documentation.
6. Act as the force representative regarding Risk at internal and external meetings and networks.
7. Prepare requests for force risk audits, meet with auditors, and respond to audit reports.
