The Anti-Social Behaviour Officer role:
We’re looking for an Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officer to join our Neighbourhood service!
As part of this role, you’ll be part of a dedicated team working to improve and support our Neighbourhoods for our tenants and the wider community. You’ll do this through the effective management and investigation of low level anti-social behaviour.
Key duties and responsibilities of our Anti-Social Behaviour Officer:
Act as an advocate for customers regarding housing ASB issues and liaise with relevant departments / partner organisations to ensure swift resolution
Responsive, proactive investigation of low /medium level ASB, addressing the root cause, ensuring where possible support has been offered and/or exhausted before escalation, preparing quality case files for escalation as appropriate
Lead low /medium level ASB cases within the remit of the post, and in line with thresholds and agreed procedures, and support Neighbourhood Officers with response to areas of community tension ensuring effective caseload management, prioritising and risk assessing accordingly
Building and maintaining effective professional relationships with internal and external partners to tackle and prevent ASB
Support continuous improvement and increased satisfaction in relation to the management of ASB
Ensure case work is of the highest quality and ensure residents feel supported throughout the process
Interview and challenge alleged perpetrators of anti-social behaviour to discuss the reports, explore causes, assess risk and discuss solutions
Work with community groups and representatives to agree local priorities in the area (e.g., Tenants and Resident Associations, Your Community Your Say groups, Tenant Voice Panel.)
What we’re looking for in our Anti-Social Behaviour Officer:
NVQ Level 3 / BTEC National Certificate or equivalent or relevant experience/transferable skills.
Ability to communicate with residents and colleagues effectively
Experience of social housing, including ASB or Estate and Tenancy Management or Community Safety related work.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to look for solutions and opportunities in a changing environment
Experience of working with software applications including Microsoft office and bespoke IT Systems.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with other agencies
