Job summary
Hours: 12 hours per week - Thursday and Friday mornings
We are looking for anenthusiastic ANP to join our friendly, forward-looking team to complement ourexisting clinical staff of 5 GP partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 2 practice nurses and 2 HCAs.As an ANP you will enable us to extend the capacity and services we currentlyoffer to our patients.
Main duties of the job
You will ideally have recent experience within a PrimaryCare setting (although not essential), be adaptable, highly motivated and relish a challenge. You willbe registered with the NMC, be an independent/supplementary nurse prescriberand hold an MSC/Post graduate diploma or equivalent. You will hold advancedassessment skills which include history taking, clinical examinations,diagnosis and initiating programmes of care.

Job Summary:
TheAdvanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) will act autonomously within theirprofessional scope of practice providing care for patients presenting withminor and acute illness and injury, working with the GPs to support same daydemand and acute care needs of the patients.This will be via face to face, video, telephone and e-consultations.
Thepostholder will operate within their own sphere of competence and agreedacceptable limits of practice to provide expert professional clinical advice topatients, carers and colleagues, ensuring clinical safety and excellence.
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will need to prioritise and triage theneeds of patients accordingly, making any necessary referrals for investigationsin the appropriate manner.
The postholder will use skills, knowledge and competencies as aqualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner in order to be responsible andaccountable for managing patient caseloads for treatments, referral, admissionand discharging patients as appropriate.
