Role: Locum MMT Pharmacy Technician Banding: Band 4 (with progression to Band 5) Location: London Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 months Rate: £15 - £17 per hour Working Pattern: Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, Weekdays: 7:30am - 7:30pm. Week 2: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, Weekdays: 7:30am - 7:30pm, Weekends: 8:00am - 7:00pm. About the role: The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medicines Management Technician to join our team in London. This role involves working on a rota basis, ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress from Band 4 to Band 5, reflecting their development and contribution to the team. Duties and Responsibilities: You will ensure accurate dispensing and distribution of medications. You will support the implementation of medicines optimisation strategies. You will conduct medicines reconciliation and provide advice on medication management. You will maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care. Qualifications and Experience: Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent. Working towards Accredited Checking and/or Medicines Optimisation Technician Certificate(s). Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician. Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a pharmacy. Previous experience in prison or mental health pharmacy settings is desirable. Experience: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
