What you’ll be doing
To lead on the delivery of key public policy objectives, particularly in relation to regulatory and government policy development, in key operational areas primarily within the UK:
1. Leading on government policy development in the UK as well as where necessary within the EU.
2. Developing easyJet’s UK policy strategy and objectives and ensuring these align with the wider business priorities.
3. Working closely with internal easyJet teams, in particular our Markets, Communications, Sustainability and Operations teams.
4. Developing evidence to support easyJet’s positions and objectives, as well as carrying out financial modelling where appropriate.
5. Maintain effective stakeholder engagement with key government officials and aviation regulators.
6. Drafting papers setting out easyJet positions on government/UK policy and responding to consultations.
7. Support with identifying any impact on easyJet’s operations as a result of emerging legislation and engage with government officials to address, and ensuring easyJet teams are aware of any risks from potential changes to government policy.
8. Working closely with our trade associations in the UK to ensure that their priorities and objectives reflect easyJet’s (including being easyJet’s representative on several association working groups).
9. Identifying opportunities for easyJet to pro-actively influence government policy and legislative reform in the UK and across key markets in Europe to support easyJet’s objectives.
10. Due to the nature of the role, there will need to be some flexibility for travel.

What you’ll bring to the team

* Excellent drafting skills.
* Comfortable building internal and external relations at all levels of seniority.
* Ability to work in teams across an organisation.
* Understanding of commercial imperatives that drive a business such as easyJet.
* Strong analytical skills.
* A self-starter comfortable with independent working.

Location & Hours of Works
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. Hybrid working with 3 days in the office.
