Skilled Hygiene Operative
We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Skilled Hygiene Operative to join our Maintenance & Facilities team at our Lea Bridge production site. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining rigorous cleanliness and food hygiene standards within the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:
* Stripping and cleaning of production equipment in line with schedules and CILs.
* Perform post-cleaning checks and issue equipment release documents.
* Support with in-depth equipment overhauls as part of our preventative maintenance program.
* Keeping the working environment maintained to very high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
* Keeping the internal and external areas of the site clean and organised.
* Support and liaise with our service contractors whilst on site.
* Ensure the safe use of chemicals and disinfectants, in line with H&S and COSHH.
About you:
* Qualifications: Food Safety Level 2 (preferred). Health & Safety Level 2 (preferred).
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a food production site, with hands-on experience in a hygiene operative role.
* Skills: Attention to detail, ability to maintain high levels of cleanliness, ability to work independently, ability to endure physical work in a busy environment, whilst contributing positively to a team environment.
* Knowledge: Proficient knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, and food safety practices. Comfortable with various maintenance & cleaning tools and equipment.
* Communication skills: ability to work well under pressure, accountability for actions, and openness to feedback. A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality. Adaptable to fast-paced environments and willing to learn and improve continuously.
This is a full-time position requiring some weekend availability, with 37.5 hours per week across 5 days out of 7.
