The City of Doncaster Council is a confident, ambitious organisation which puts improving the life of its residents at the centre of everything we do. You have an opportunity to be part of this in the role of Advanced Practitioner.
We are currently recruiting for an Advanced Practitioner to be based in the Help and Protection Service Central. This is a temporary post due to maternity leave of the substantive post holder.
This is a pivotal role in supporting the ongoing improvements in practice required to support the service delivered to children and their families. Reporting to the Team Manager, we actively support you in developing Leadership, Training and Mentoring. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will be supported to develop and support ASYE's and students on placements.
We are a Locality Team that is incredibly supportive and understand the pressures and demands when working in social care. We have regular team meetings, and our aim is to offer our children and families a high quality service by ensuring our practice standards are high through regular audits and performance meetings. Advanced Practitioners have limited caseloads in order to allow them to assist in the development of our less experienced staff.
Training is provided for all social workers and new members joining the team, alongside monthly supervision and Personal Development Plans. We aim to support the Continuing Professional Development of all staff within the council.
We are looking for an Advanced Practitioner who is enthusiastic and can support the Team Manager to drive and nurture performance in a supportive environment whilst being a part of our journey.
In return for your hard work and dedication, we can offer you the chance to be part of a great team dedicated to ensuring that all people in Doncaster thrive. You will also have access to a variety of attractive employee benefits including competitive leave entitlement, a generous local government pension scheme, a wide range of well-being support and development opportunities. You will also have access to a range of staff discount and benefits schemes.
Please ensure you view the job summary and job profile as you will need to demonstrate in your application form how you meet the required criteria.
