If so, please read on The role of a CNC Programmer: As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to manufacture parts according to specifications. Duties & responsibilities of a CNC Programmer: Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to program CNC machines Set up and operate CNC machines including mills and lathes Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards Troubleshoot issues with CNC machines and make adjustments as needed Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimise manufacturing processes Complete stage inspection using various hand and CMM measurement equipment Prepare parts for final inspection; deburr, degrease, glass bead blast Complete final inspection using measuring equipment to confirm parts within tolerances and adhere to clients' specification Required skills of a CNC Programmer: Proficiency in CAD software Knowledge of mechanical principles and tooling Familiarity with logic controllers Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is advantageous Must have experience of working with CNC Lathes and Milling machines Experience of using CMM measuring equipment is advantageous Must be able to manage full lifecycle of each job; interpret drawings, programme machine, set machine, operate, and final inspection Must be safety conscious Essential experiences: CNC Milling and Lathe programming: 3 years – can include apprenticeship (required) CNC Milling and Lathe operations: 3 years – can include apprenticeship (required) Tooling: 3 years – can include apprenticeship (required) Mechanical knowledge: 3 years – can include apprenticeship (required) What's in it for you?
